Victor’s World

2023

Receiving a box of Crayola Crayons for my birthday was a life changing gift that reconnected me with simpler times in my childhood. As such, these drawings reflect upon arts and crafts in the context of leisurely recreation. Originally beginning with a two-tone self-portrait (as seen in both the headers and footers of this website), I found a natural inclination to draw family and friends in this same style. Welcome to Victor’s World.

Right before heading to a show, my cousin layers my trench coat on his cyclist shirt and asks what I think. A mere flick was not enough.

Most people who grew up Latinx recognize this icon! Here’s to all the arepas I’ve had & will make.
