Hotel Zaza

Brand Design
Editorial Design
Hotel Zaza is a fictional brand identity that was created in the course Visual Experience Design at UQAM’s school of design. Zaza was conceived as a brand that combines wellness and cannabis to offer a modern and relaxed hotel experience, inspired by the "hippie" spirit of Expo 67 and geometric minimalism. The logotype plays on the "zzz" motif, a nod to sleep and relaxation, with steps integrated into the "z" symbolizing movement and ascension.
For the launch brochure, an original medium was chosen: bible paper. Inspired by the tradition of bibles in hotel rooms, zaza replaces this custom with a nod to cannabis, transforming bible paper into a symbol of freedom and relaxation. This thin and translucent paper, in yellow, reflects zaza's palette and creates a unique visual experience where logos and symbols overlap. Once unfolded, the brochure becomes an artistic poster with the "zaza" logo and a cannabis chalice, also visible on Instagram.

Motion Design
Illustration
This Rotoscoping exercise was completed in the context of an Experimentation Seminar on Animated Film at UQAM’s school of Design in Winter 2025, taught by Patrick Doyon. Using a video clip of Souther Italian seniors dancing in the disco, I desired to capture their energy and match the frequency of the Italo-Electronic track “Two” by Motel Connection by using
fluorescent markers on vellum paper for added texture

POSTCARDS

Poster Design
Illustration
Postcard design project paying tribute to my parents' hometowns as well as the one we currently live in. The goal was to design two custom typographies using graph paper, and to illustrate geographical landmarks of each city while keeping details to a minimum.
EXPERIMENTAL TYPE
2024
Typography
Given my passion for illustration and natural wine, I decided to imagine the word “WINE” with shapes that are quite literally fundamental to the sommelier’s world: glass, bottle, opener … and the central ingredient: the grape. The initial experiment was made on a whim three times (for English, French, and Spanish/Italian) with Crayola crayons on drawing paper, and later digitized on Adobe Illustrator.
PHILOSOPHY
& FINE ART
2024
Motion Design
Towards the end of my reading of Bruno Munari’s book, “Design as art,” an old passage from college Humanities courses circled back: “God is a circle whose center is everywhere and circumference nowhere.” This quote from Voltaire took new meaning in the context of design, and I took it upon myself to communicate this visually through type, albeit within the shape of a circle. The final iteration of this experimental video involved using depictions of God from Italian Renaissance paintings such as The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo.
Socio Specimen
2024
Socio Specimen is a collection of typefaces emerging from social movements, created in collaboration with Rose Huard as part of the DGX1031: Typography & Compositions course at UQAM’s School of Design, under the guidance of Raphael Daudelin.
The main goal of the specimen is to highlight the work of underrepresented typographers in graphic design and demonstrate how typography can be used in the context of intersecting identity struggles. We explored creations from the activist foundry Vocal Type Co, inclusive typefaces from Bye Bye Binary and Velvetyne type foundry, as well as a collection of dingbats designed by the Women’s Design Research Unit.
Editorial Design
PlayStation's infamous triangle, circle, square and cross buttons appear here as inflated objects that are filled to fully emphasize their shape as well as their respective colours. Rendered in 3D by Adobe Illustrator, the purpose of this vector art is to be an easily recognizable PlayStation poster who's artistic style is modern and minimalist, with a slight "retro"
feel to it.

Logo Design
Brand Identity
Pastelería is an independent pastry workshop based in Montreal. It is the passion project of Peruvian pastry chef Salvatore Francesco Solimano Leiva, aiming to revolutionize Western pastry using ingredients central to the Andean landscape. The goal of the brand identity was to pay homage to Salvatore’s childhood in Peru, focusing on cartoons and icons of Peruvian culture and cuisine. The result is a warm logo portrait of Salvatore wearing a Peruvian hood alongside his partner and business associate, Anna. The typographic choice is a retro sans-serif (Rullen), playfully embodying the warmth of summer, reminiscent of South America. Other illustrative elements follow the same style, featuring a pastry display and a llama eating a strawberry cake.
